McGraw-Hill Distribution Center

McGraw-Hill Distribution Center

IIW provided the land development, engineering and surveying services needed to build a 331,000-square-foot distribution center for McGraw-Hill in Dubuque, Iowa.

This expansive center for one of the largest educational publishers is located on a 21-acre tract in the Dubuque Industrial Center West, includes nearly 9,000 square feet of office space and about 322,000 square feet of warehouse for the company’s education division.

Early in this development project, IIW assisted with a topographic survey of the existing site and provided an optimal site layout based on the client’s goals and specifications. IIW then developed the construction layout of the site and the building foundation. At the completion of the project, IIW provided an “as-built” survey and drawing of the site.

Throughout the project, the IIW team also provided a series of technical engineering services, including grading design, connections to the public sanitary sewer and water system, a 3,000-foot fire loop water line design, a storm water collection system, a storm water detention facility and a construction site erosion and sediment control plan.

Ruscilli Construction Company of Columbus, Ohio, engaged the IIW team for this project.
