The Dubuque Community School Board partnered with IIW and the Durrant Group to design a new 205,000-square-foot Dubuque Community Middle School for 1,100 students.

The team looked to the future and designed the three-floor building to sit on 38 acres and allow for the development of a future elementary school.

IIW provided land surveying and civil engineering services including erosion and sedimentation control, earthwork, site utilities, pavement design, and traffic circulation.

The project included the special design of a 9-acre wetlands and retention pond and involved coordination and input from the DNR.
