Dubuque Days of Caring brings volunteers from around the Dubuque area to join with local charities and organizations to work on one-time service projects. Participating nonprofits are matched with volunteers from the community and local businesses who choose to give their time, talents and services to impact our community’s needs.
This annual event mobilized over 1,200 volunteers; all who offered their services to help those in need. This year they were able to assist 70 agencies on projects including painting, landscaping, organizing, general cleaning and more. “The ability to assist and impact so many agencies in our community in one day is incredible. Seeing firsthand the tireless efforts of the volunteers rolling up their sleeves to do whatever needs to be done, shows a true passion and commitment to improving our community,” said IIW’s Danielle Neyens, Marketing Assistant who is on the Board for Days of Caring serving on the Marketing Committee.
Volunteering their time and talent, IIW team members Eric Ure, Andy Goedken, Danielle Neyens, Emily Crowe, Nick Rettenberger, Bryson Winsky, Dylan Kramer, and Noah Hofrichter completed a mulching project for Hillcrest Family Services.
Thank you to Eric, Andy, Danielle, Emily, Nick, Bryson, Dylan, and Noah for “digging in” and devoting their morning to this great cause!
