The City of Peosta was in need of assistance when a nearby homeowners’ association, the Thunder Ridge Subdivision, wanted to connect to the City’s water system.
IIW took the existing facilities and upgraded them to current DNR standards for supplying potable water to residents. The project consisted of modifications to the existing building, providing a connection between the City’s existing distribution system and the Thunder Ridge Subdivision distribution system.
The building modifications included removal and replacement of existing process piping, construction of a chemical feed room, new chemical feed equipment, HVAC improvements, removal of the existing steel pressure tank, and the installation of multiple hydropneumatic pressure tanks.
IIW provided municipal and structural engineering, architectural design, survey, and construction services, including material testing and on-site inspection, for the project.
