Field Surveyor
Position Description
Assist in the performance of land surveying duties for boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM land title, route and bridge, aerial control, construction staking, and lot surveys.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors or Associates Degree from a Construction Technology academic program which includes course work related to surveying and computer applications including CADD drafting. Practical experience in land surveying and CADD is an advantage.
- Physically able to perform all tasks. Position may require lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Applicant must hold valid driver’s license and have the ability to operate company owned vehicles.
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff.
Positions Responsibilities
- Assist in performance of location, topographic, and related engineering and land survey work.
- Accurately and legibly record survey field notes.
- Perform basic equipment cleaning and maintenance.
- Use survey related equipment/software with supervision.
- Operate survey instruments such as, levels, total stations, data collectors, on simple surveys.
- Store and retrieve field survey data on a computer.
