Description of Project
PAPER COPIES OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AVAILABLE FROM: TRI-STATE BLUEPRINT, 696 CENTRAL AVENUE, DUBUQUE, IOWA 52001 PHONE 563-556-3030. ELECTRONIC COPIES AVAILABLE BY CONTACTING: R.WALTER@IIWENGR.COM. The extent of the work involved in the Permeable Paver Project consists of replacing approximately 210 LF of parking lanes on Main St. and 2nd St. with permeable pavers. Included in the permeable paver system are interlocking concrete pavers, three layers of aggregates, and a perforated underdrain collector. The project will also include replacing the sidewalk and curb and gutter. Because of the grading needed for the pavers, the slope of the curb and gutter will be altered, resulting in alterations to the storm water system at the intersection. A catch basin, a manhole, and a 12” storm water pipe will be installed to capture the surface runoff and direct it to the existing storm water system on Main Street. Installation of the permeable pavers serves to reduce pollutants on the roadway surface, filter pollutants before they enter the storm water system, and reduce runoff from the roadway.
