SUMMER RETIRES AFTER 27 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE

Dubuque, IA—Stuart Summer, Construction Inspector in IIW’s Construction Services Department, has retired after 27 years of dedicated service.

Since joining IIW in 1991, Stuart served in many roles, gaining expertise as an engineering technician, bridge inspector, field inspector, and material tester on a variety of municipal and transportation projects, including water, wastewater, and streets.

“Stuart most recently worked as a Construction Inspector at IIW. He was one of the first team members in what would become IIW’s Construction Services Department. We cannot thank him enough for choosing IIW as his career path 27 years ago,” said Gretchen Bockenhauer, Construction Services Team Leader.

Jim Bousley, Municipal Team Leader at IIW, added, “Since 1993, I have worked closely with Stuart on dozens of municipal construction projects. IIW’s strong reputation with contractors and municipalities was largely impacted by Stuart’s knowledge of construction and his ability to communicate. He will be greatly missed and we wish him the best in his retirement.”

IIW thanks Stuart for his dedication and years of service and wishes him well with his retirement.
