GOEDKEN RECEIVES PE LICENSE

Dubuque, IA—Andrew Goedken, PE, Municipal Engineer at IIW, received his Professional Engineer license from the State of Iowa.

Andrew began his career at IIW in 2011 when he was in college, serving roles as both a Construction Services Co-Op and an Engineering Intern. Upon graduation, he joined IIW’s Municipal Department as a Design Engineer assisting with plan production, street and utilities design, and construction administration for local municipalities. Andrew specializes in the design of urban streets, pedestrian facilities, and underground utilities including water distribution systems, storm water collection systems, and sanitary sewer systems.

When asked how it feels to have reached this milestone in his career, Goedken explained, “It’s incredibly rewarding and exciting. I’ve always loved the process of designing (or planning) and seeing it through to the end—it’s what led me to the engineering field as a career. I’m looking forward to the additional responsibilities and rewards that come with being a licensed civil engineer.”

Andrew has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University.
