Dubuque, IA—Gary Jasper has joined IIW, P.C. as Construction Leader. He will be responsible for mentoring new staff, optimizing the talents of current staff, and supporting and expanding the offerings of the Construction Services Department. Gary will also be responsible for process improvement, and will serve as a peer reviewer on projects.
With over 30 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, Gary brings a wealth of knowledge to IIW. Early in his career, he worked for an engineering firm in the Chicago area, gaining experience in project design and field inspection. He later worked for an area civil engineering firm, and went on to become Director of Operations for a local bridge/civil construction company. Gary has been involved in Iowa DOT, Iowa DNR, USACE, railroad, and municipal/county government projects. In addition, Gary has experience with material testing, project inspection, and project management.
Gary previously served as the City Administrator for the City of Dyersville. He oversaw numerous public works projects, and brings a new perspective to IIW, having been in the “Owner’s” shoes on a project.
Gary has an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering from Morrison Institute of Technology in Morrison, Illinois.
